METHOD SELECTION FOR STIFFENERS WELDING TO CAST PRODUCTS

Abstract: The additional stiffeners, fixed by welding, are used in the industry to strengthen the complex steel structures. In the combined cast-welded structure, the strength of the entire product depends on the operational reliability of the welded joint. The requirements for stiffening elements and welds depend on the process loads and operating conditions of the product. The rational welding method shall be selected to implement the welding method of cast products and prevent their premature failure. The article shows the implementation of this stage of welding method on the example of a combined cast-welded structure of a ladle of a blast-furnace slag car. |
