THE EFFECTS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION EDUCATION ON THE START-UP INENTION – FOCUSED ON THE MEDIATING EFFECTS OF EMPOWERMENT

Abstract: This paper examines the effects of entrepreneurship and technology commercialization education on start-up intention through mediation of individual level empowerment. In today’s rapidly changing business environment, it is very important to start a business by implementing a business intention. In this paper, we examine the effect of entrepreneurship and technology commercialization education on start-up intention. The set hypothesis is as follows. Hypothesis 1: If entrepreneurship is high, start-up intention will be high. Hypothesis 2: If technology commercialization education related to entrepreneurship is high, startup intention will be high. Hypothesis 3: Entrepreneurship and technology commercialization education have an impact on start-up intention, and personal level empowerment (self-efficacy) will have a mediating effect. In order to verify these hypotheses, a questionnaire survey on students who took entrepreneurship and technology commercialization education is conducted. Hypothesis testing was conducted by correlation effect, regression analysis, and mediation effect analysis. As a result of the hypothesis test, entrepreneurship and technology commercialization education related to entrepreneurship had a positive influence on the start-up intention and empowerment was mediating effect. In this paper, it is meaningful that the empowerment is mediating effect and that the relationship between entrepreneurship, technology commercialization education and start-up intention is considered. |
