Abstract: This paper focuses on the effect of thermal radiation and Soret parameter on the unsteady convective heat and mass transfer flow of Cu and Al2O3-water based nanofluid in a vertical wavy channel and the flow characteristics have been analysed by using a perturbation technique. The obtained results illustrate that mixed convection heat transfer is enhanced by nanoparticles concentration in both types of nanofluids but reduces in the case of mass transfer rate. On the other hand, radiative heat flux depreciates the heat transfer rate in both nanofluids. The mass transfer rate is improved with larger values of Soret parameter. |
