Abstract: The research of geometrical and physical parameters in shaped heat transfer channels is important in terms of intensification of heat transfer. This article is particularly focused on the change of vertical height between trapezoidal profiles (H = 0.04m, 0.05m) and on the change of airflow (Q = 5, 10, 15 and 20m3/h) through a horizontal experimental channel. Temperature fields arising between the trapezoidal heat transfer surfaces were visualized by holographic interferometry method. Local heat transfer coefficients along the shaped surfaces were evaluated from obtained pictures of holographic interferograms. Consequently, mean heat transfer parameters were calculated. The experimentally obtained results were compared with CFD simulations of temperature fields in the experimental channel. At the gap height of H = 0.04m, higher values of mean heat transfer coefficients were obtained compared to the height of H = 0.05m. |
