ZERO-TRUNCATED NEGATIVE BINOMIAL APPLIED TO NONLINEAR DATA
In situations with count data, adjustment through negative binomial distributionis oftenused.Inecology, thedistributionis reparameterized by essential to the parameter interpretation. In this paper, we will introduce the zero-truncated negative binomial distribution (ZTNB) in situations where there is no possibility of the occurrence of the value zero, situations often observed in species abundance studies. These studies are often approached in literature through nonlinear models without any distribution assumption. The objective of this paper is to compare the results in different parameterization of the parameter of perturbation f in several nonlinear models, considering only the models with asymptotic behavior.
