In this paper, we study a class of differentiable manifolds admitting almost contact structures and pseudo-Riemannian metrics. A necessary and sufficient condition for an almost Kenmotsu pseudo-Riemannian metric manifold to be Kenmotsu manifold is obtained. Also, we characterize general D-homothetic deformation and other deformations of an almost Kenmotsu pseudo-Riemannian manifold.
