ON PROBABILISTIC CONSTRAINTS IN OPTIMIZATION MODELS OF ELECTRICITY POWER NETWORKS
Current industrial world is full of complicated large-scale engineering systems including that of the electricity power network. There are so many mathematical models for these networks in which various engineering aspects of a network are considered for improvement. Reliability of these networks is also taken into account in a number of existing optimization models. However, there is still a lack of a comprehensive model that concerns about failure probability of an electricity network. In this article, a new idea is illustrated to introduce a probabilistic constraint for electricity power networks. It is intended to determine an accepted level for failure probability of an electricity network and then keep this probability below than the predetermined level. This constraint can be applied in different non-deterministic optimization models.
