In this paper, we have introduced a result oriented novel designing and selection procedure for continuous sampling plan (CSP-1) with maximum allowable average outgoing quality (MAAOQ). Expressions for performance measures such as operating characteristic function and MAAOQ function are derived in this work. The association of average outgoing quality level (AOQL), maximum allowable percent defective (MAPD) and MAAOQ in CSP-1 are discussed. Table is provided for ready-made use of the shop-floor situations. This is an advanced and improved design compared to acceptable quality level (AQL), AOQL and MAPD designs of CSP-1 operating characteristics (OC) curve.
