THE ESTIMATION OF ERROR ON POISSON APPROXIMATION FOR THE MÉNAGE PROBLEM
The Ménage problem asks for the number of ways of seating ncouples at a circular table, with husband and wife alternation, so one sits adjacent to each other. We use the Stein-Chen method to obtain errors on the Poisson approximation to distribution of the Ménage problem.
