SOLITARY WAVES IN INHOMOGENEOUS WARM PLASMA WITH NONTHERMAL ELECTRONS
A theoretical investigation of ion-acoustic solitary waves in weakly inhomogeneous plasma with inertial warm ion and nonthermally distributed electrons is carried out. Under reductive perturbation analysis technique, a relevant modified Korteweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation from fluid model of the plasma is derived using appropriate space-time stretched coordinate for inhomogeneous plasma. The mKdV equation is treated by Sagdeev pseudo-potential technique to derive the analytical results. The soliton solutions are found to be affected by inhomogeneity and nonthermality of electrons.
