This article proposes the chain sampling plan where the quality characteristics follow weighted Poisson distribution. Tables are constructed for comparing and constructing the existing chain sampling, based on Poisson distribution and the proposed approach indexed by acceptable quality level (AQL) and limiting quality level (LQL). It is shown that the proposed sampling plan significantly reduces the producer risk as well as the consumer risk compared to existing plan.
