ON REVERSED HAZARD ORDERING OF PARALLEL SYSTEMS WITH EXPONENTIAL COMPONENTS

Abstract:

This paper considers reversed hazard ordering of two parallel systems with exponential components. We provide a simple and direct proof for the result that when the hazard rate vector of one system weakly majorizes that of the other one, there exists reversed hazard ordering between the two systems.
