ON ODD AND EVEN PERFECT NUMBERS

Abstract:

We derive a new necessary condition for the existence of an odd perfect number m. This condition concerns the properties of larger odd perfect numbers (if any) and whether 2m, 4m or 6m can be represented as a sum of even perfect numbers.
