BAYESIAN AND NON-BAYESIAN ESTIMATION OF TOPP-LEONE DISTRIBUTION BASED LOWER RECORD VALUES
In this article, we present the maximum likelihood (ML) and Bayes estimators for the two-parameter Topp-Leone distribution (TLD). We have examined Bayes estimates under symmetric loss function (square error loss function (SEL)). This is done by using the conjugate prior for the parameter. We have obtained the Bayes estimators in closed form. Also, the exact confidence intervals, two bootstrap confidence interval and exact highest posterior density intervals are presented based on record data. Practical example using simulated data set was used for illustration. Finally, to assess the performance of the proposed estimators, numerical results using Monte Carlo simulation study were reported.
