PULSATILE FLOW OF A VISCOUS FLUID IN AN INCLINED CHANNEL BOUNDED BY PERMEABLE BEDS
An exact solution for the pulsatile flow in an inclined channel between two permeable beds is obtained. The flow between the permeable beds is governed by Navier-Stokes equations whereas the flow in the lower and upper beds is governed by modified Darcy law. The velocity distributions in the porous and non-porous regions are determined. The mass flow rate and its fractional increase are also obtained. The effect of Darcy number on the physical quantities is discussed. Further, when the permeability parameter the results agree with those of Wang [22].
