COMBINED EFFECT OF ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC FIELDS ON UNSTEADY PLANE COUETTE FLOW WITH HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER THROUGH POROUS MEDIUM IN PRESENCE OF VARIABLE SUCTION AT STATIONARY PLATE
An attempt is made to investigate the combined effect of electric and magnetic fields on an unsteady generalized plane Couette flow with heat and mass transfer of an electrically conducting viscous incompressible fluid under time dependent pressure gradient and suction at stationary plate through porous medium. The governing equations are solved by regular perturbation technique. The expressions for non-dimensional velocity, temperature, species concentration fields and the skin friction, the rate of heat transfer in terms of Nusselt number, the rate of mass transfer in terms of Sherwood number at the plates are obtained and demonstrated graphically. The effect of different parameters namely the Soret number, the Hartmann number and the electric field parameter on these fields is discussed.
