RELATIVE INDEX IN EXTENSIONS OF DEDEKIND RINGS
In this paper, we generalize the well known discriminant-index formula to Dedekind rings with no separability assumption. We also find an interesting fact about Steinitz modules and compute useful bounds for the valuation of the index in the case of a discrete valuation ring.
