Closed form analytical expressions for the static displacement fields due to a vertical force in porous media are obtained. Variation of the radial displacements with height for the various materials like Ruhr sandstone, Tennessee Marble, Charcoal Granite, Berea Sandstone and Westerly Granite are discussed.
