With the help of the symbolic computation system Maple, improved projective method and variable separation method, a new family of exact solutions with arbitrary functions of the -dimensional Nizhnik-Novikov-Veselov system (NNV) is derived. Based on the derived solitary wave solution, we obtain some special fractal localized structures and chaotic patterns.
