Abstract:
By a projective equation approach and a linear variable separation approach, a new family of the travelling wave solutions of the

-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) equation is derived. Based on the derived solitary wave solution, we obtain some special line-soliton excitations of the equation.
