Abstract: If c is a character of a finite group G, then it is known that is a multiple of where L
is the image of c on (cf. [2] and [3]). That c is said to be sharp of type L if Some of permutation characters are
well-known examples of sharp characters. Given a finite group G,
how can we determine the sharp characters of G?
In this paper, we show several methods to do it.
Keywords and phrases: finite group, group character, sharp character.
