A NOTE ON P-RANKS OF CLASS GROUPS IN -EXTENSIONS
Let k be a number field, p be a prime number and
be a
-extension. We consider the p-ranks
of the class groups of the layers of K. We show that if
for some n, then the p-ranks are constants from n onwards and we give some immediate connectionswith the computation of the Iwasawa invariants for the extension
p-ranks of class groups, -extensions.
