Abstract: In this paper the inverse steady-state problem of
thermoelastic deformation to determine the temperature, displacement and stress
functions on the outer curved surface in the finite isotropic hollow cylinder of
length h occupying the space is considered by applying finite
Fourier cosine transform technique.
The
temperature for a fixed value of x, is a known function of z
and the heat flux is maintained at zero on the plane surfaces and the inner
curved surface of the cylinder is maintained at zero temperature.
Keywords and phrases: cylinder, steady-state, outer surface unknown, cosine transform.
