REGRESSION ESTIMATION OF FINITE POPULATION TOTAL UNDER NON-RESPONSE
Hartley and Ross [6] suggested an unbiased ratio estimator, whose performance under various sample sizes was evaluated by Goodman and Hartley [2]. Oyoo et al. [9] considered this estimator and suggested an unbiased ratio estimator for population total in stratified random sampling under non-response. In this paper, we construct a regression estimator using the unbiased ratio estimator by Oyoo et al. [9] using both separate and combined ratios. We perform empirical study to examine performance of the suggested estimators relative to that of Oyoo et al. [9].
