DIAGNOSIS OF SQUIRREL CAGE INDUCTION MOTORS BY ANALYSIS OF THE DISPERSION MAGNETIC FIELD SIGNAL
Squirrel cage induction motors have been frequently used in industrial applications due to their robustness. However, many faults can occur in these machines. This paper presents a new approach in the diagnosis of these induction motors. It is based on the spectrum analysis of the dispersion magnetic field (DMF) signal. For the simulation, we used a model made with the Matlab/Simulink tool. The results have been compared with experimental data through a bench test which are found to be very encouraging.
