A FIRST INTEGRAL FOR LIMITING SLOW SYSTEMS OF THE PNP MODEL
Poisson-Nernst-Planck model is a basic macroscopic model for electrodiffusion of charges for ionic flow through ion channels. By suitable re-scaling, the Poisson-Nernst-Planck model is a standard singularly perturbed system. A first integral for limiting slow system of the Poisson-Nernst-Planck model is identified in this paper. Using this first integral, a simple proof for a known result is given.
