PERMANENCE AND STABILITY IN A LARCH BUDMOTH POPULATION MODEL
We study a discrete consumer-resource system proposed from studying dynamics of the larch budmoth (LBM) population in the Swiss Alps. It is shown that the moth population can persist indefinitely for all of the biologically feasible parameter values. Using intrinsic growth rate of the moth population, we provide sufficient conditions for which the unique interior steady state is locally asymptotically stable.
