MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR THE CENTRAL REACTION OF PROTEIN C IN BLOOD COAGULATION CASCADE
A non-linear mathematical model of central blood coagulation cascade is set up based on the reaction model of Lämmle and Griffin [22]. Through stability analysis and numerical simulation, we obtain that there is a threshold value in the extrinsic blood coagulation cascade and there are different states at the end of clotting. Furthermore, we obtain that the lower concentration of PC has a weak influence on whole blood coagulation system. When the concentration of PC is excessive, the concentration of IIa reduces quickly to zero with time, and this indicates that the whole system does not start up normally and influence of PC on IIa is very strong. It appears to be a serious disturbance of blood coagulation at clinic.
