Formal models for generating rectangular array patterns, iso-picture languages and hexagonal picture languages have been studied. P systems generating two-dimensional picture languages were also considered, combining the two field’s membrane computing and picture languages. In this paper, we study the construction of triangular picture languages in a triangular grid using the bio-inspired computational model, namely, tissue-like P systems with active membranes.
