INVOLVEMENT OF MATHEMATICAL MODELING INTO ADVANCED MATHEMATICS COURSES
We conducted a pedagogical experience of involving mathematical modeling into ‘Advanced Mathematics Course’ for the freshmen of business class during Semester 2017 in Nanjing University of Finance and Economics, China. Based on such experience, our approach went through three stages: background of a definition and applications of theorems and exercises in the classes. Three teaching approaches are considered. A comparison between reformed teaching class and traditional teaching class is made to evaluate the effect of involving mathematical modeling during the teaching.
