RINGS PERMITTING POLYNOMIAL INTERPOLATION

Abstract: It is well known that the locally polynomially complete algebras in the variety of commutative rings with identity are fields. The authors give an elementary characterization of rings, not necessarily commutative, in which polynomial interpolation is possible for all finite sets of data points. |
