Abstract: Modern management and maintenance of civil aero-engine require advanced monitor schemes to estimate aero-engine health and condition in place to increase life of aero-engine and reduce maintenance costs. In this paper, we adopted parameters differential analysis approach to monitor an aero-engine performance by examining the difference between symmetric aero-engine parameters. We built the distribution models of the difference between symmetric aero-engines and gave monitoring intervals such that when an observation goes beyond the monitoring intervals, alarms will be given. This method can provide an improved insight on the behavior of monitored engine parameters and can identify the abnormal behavior of each aero-engine in time. |
