ON FINITELY DETERMINED TOTAL ORDERS

Abstract: In an orderable group G, a total order with its positive cone P is said to be finitely determined if there is a nonempty finite subset A of P suchthat P is the only positive cone of total order on G containing A. In this paper we consider finitely determined total orders and the number of total orders on several classes of orderable groups. |
