MODAL CONTROL OF A DIFFUSION SYSTEM RELATED TO LINEAR FORMATIONS
In this paper, we consider the problem of controlling a diffusion system related to linear formations by modal controllers. An equilibrium state of the system is exponentially stable without adding any controls. However, in the case where the diffusion coefficient is small, the degree of stability becomes low, that is, the convergence to the equilibrium state becomes slow. This paper shows that it is possible to enhance the degree of stability by using an RMF (residual mode filter)-based controller which is of finite-dimension.
