Abstract: This paper
studies electrically
conducting fluid
in magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) natural
convection through a porous medium bounded by a semi-infinite
vertical porous plate by developing a similarity solution of the
governing equations
which include
magnetic and
porous parameters. The
numerical solution is carried out examining the effects of magnetic parameter,
porous parameter and Prandtl numbers on the fluid velocity and temperature
distribution. Our result observed that combined effect reduces the flow field
and an increase in porous and magnetic parameter
leads to an increasing effect on the field for air. These results match
favorably with previously published work. |
